四（2）班小明最近在校表现不好，学习成绩直线下滑。为了解小明在家中的情况，班主任顾老师到小明家家访。在同小明父亲交流情况时，顾老师引用了一句古语：“养不教，父之过。”小明的父亲听后很不高兴地说：“顾老师，您这话欠妥，孩子是我生养的，我不送他到学校接受教育，剥夺他受教育的权利，那是我的过错，现在，我把孩子送到学校接受教育，你们教不好，这应是老师的过错，怎么能说是我们做家长的过错呢？”结果，双方未能在教育小明的问题上达成共识。
